When the remaining engine oil is low, the Wrench Indicator or Engine Oil Light will appear on the display. The engine oil data must be reset after performed change the engine oil on your vehicle. Follow the instructions below to reset the Wrench Indicator Light on your Mazda MX-5 Miata:
- Turn the ignition key to “ON” position without starting the engine
If your vehicle has a Smart key button, press the START-STOP ENGINE button twice without touching the brake pedal.
- Tap APPLICATION menu on the touch screen
The touch screen is located on the center dash
- Select VEHICLE STATUS MONITOR
Tap the touch screen to enter the menu
- Select MAINTENANCE
Tap the touch screen to enter the menu
- Select SCHEDULED and then select RESET
Tap the touch screen to enter the menu
- When a confirmation dialog appears, select “YES” to confirm
Tap the touch screen to confirm
- Next, back to the MAINTENANCE menu and select OIL CHANGE to reset the engine oil data
The engine oil data must be reset after performed change the engine oil on your vehicle.
- Select RESET and select “YES” to confirm
