How To Reset Oil Maintenance/Wrench Light On Mazda 3 (2010-2018)

So when the remaining engine oil is low, you’ll see the Wrench Indicator or Engine Oil Light on the dash. You need to perform an oil change on your vehicle. Once you’ve done your oil change now, it’s time to reset your maintenance reminder. So here’s what we’re going to do.

2010-2013 Mazda 3 Oil Life/Wrench Light Reset Guide
- Put the key in the ignition and turn it to the on position
- On the right side of the steering wheel, there’s an INFO button and you need to press it until you get the SETTINGS menu
- Use the ▼ button to scroll down to highlight the MAINTENANCE on the screen and then press the ENTER button
- Then scroll down to the SERVICE DUE and select it
- Now you’ll see the remaining mileage and the remaining days. We need to press ENTER again to get in
- Next, highlight SET and press ENTER
- We’re going to reset the Distance first, so press enter on DISTANCE
- Select a digit using the directional switch, and press Enter to set it up
With Gas & Brake Pedals
- With the ignition off you have to depress the GAS pedal and the BRAKE pedal at the same time
- After that, turn on the ignition and wait around 20 seconds
- Keep holding the pedals till you can see the oil light is flashing and then goes away
- Now turn off the ignition and you can release the pedals
Resetting Oil Maintenance Light in 2014-2018 Mazda 3

- Turn on your car
If your vehicle has a Smart key button, press the START-STOP button two times without stepping on any pedal
- Go to the APPLICATION
With the ignition on, go over to the infotainment side. So in this type of setup, you can do it two ways, you can do it by using the control knob on the center console or you can actually touchpad up the screen to go to the Applications menu
- Select VEHICLE STATUS MONITOR
Then go to the Vehicle Status Monitor and click on that
- Select MAINTENANCE
After that, the Maintenance will pop up so click on that or push down on the control knob
- Select SCHEDULED or OIL CHANGE
Afterward, as you can see it has quite a few warnings up in this menu. Oil Change, Tire Rotation, and Schedule they all done for reset. So click on them
- Select RESET
Highlight Reset and click on that
- Select RESET

How to Reset with Cluster Button
