There are several reasons you need to reset your Roland SP-404A to factory settings, such as when you want to sell it or when a system error. Here’s how the settings stored in the unit can be restored to their default values.
- Prepare an SD card that has been formatted on the SP-404A
Skip this step if you’re using the SD card that was included with the device
- Press and hold the CANCEL button and then turn on the power

- When “P.oF” appears on the display, turn off the power

- Copy the “FCTRY” folder to the root directory of the SD card by using a computer
