Last Updated on November 6, 2021 by Nick

Hey there, Benz fam! Today, I will show you how to reset the Mercedes-Benz ML350 (W166) oil service light. Service A, or Service B, whichever one you have. Each of those represents a different service. You can Google what a Service B is, what is a Service A for.

You have just to change the engine oil for some of them—some of the oil, cabin filter, air filter, stuff like that. So we’re here to help you to reset and find service data on your Mercedes-Benz ML350 W166. So let me guide you through the procedure.

Time needed: 3 minutes

Alright, I’ve finished servicing my Mercedes-Benz ML350, and now I’m just going to go through the Assist Plus menu and reset the service light. So the first thing I will do is:

  1. Turn the ignition key to position 1 without starting the engine

First, you need to turn your ignition to position one by a single press on the ignition button

  2. Make sure the TRIP MILAGE is displayed

Then you’re going to scroll up on the button until you come across to where it’s talking about miles

  3. Press and hold the ACCEPT CALL button and then press the OK button

With the mileage showing on the dash you’re gonna press the Call Answer button first and then the OK button until you get to your service mode

  4. Get to the ASSIST PLUS

Once the service menu pops up, you’re going to scroll down using the ▼ button to Assist Plus and click OK

  5. Go to the FULL SERVICE and then CONF FULL SERVICE

After that, you’re going to click scroll down and select FULL SERVICE and you’re going to click on the CONF FULL SERVICE

  6. Select appropriate OIL GRADE being used

Now it’s gonna ask this about oil grade and you just do YES

  7. Select CONFIRM

Finally, you would click CONFIRM then it’s done

So that’s how you reset on this Mercedes W166 (2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 model years). Now you can start the vehicle, and as you see, no more service message appears on-screen, guys. If you have any questions, just leave them in the comment section, and I’ll be glad to answer. So thanks for reading and good luck!
