There are 2 methods to reset the oil life on the Honda Odyssey. For your info, this operation work for the fifth generation of Honda Odyssey (2013 2014 2015 2016 2017 model years).

With Steering Button

Time needed: 3 minutes

In this section, I would like to show you how to reset past-due service basically oil change service light on a 2011 to 2017 Honda Odyssey. It’s very simple to do, let’s get started.

  1. Put the key in the ignition slot and turn it into the second position

    If your vehicle has an ignition button, press the POWER button twice without step on the brake pedal

  2. Press the ▲or▼ INFO button repeatedly until Remaining Oil Life appears on the display

  3. Press and hold the RESET button

    Press the RESET button for about 10 seconds. Then you’re going to get another screen pop up all

  4. Select RESET

    Use up arrow button again to switch over RESET, then press the RESET button to confirm

With Cluster Knob

In this section, I will show you how to reset the oil life light using the buttons on the cluster. So let’s check this out.

  • Turn on the car without starting the engine
  • Press the TRIP knob repeatedly until it displays the “OIL LIFE”

  • Next, press and hold the knob until the oil life percentage starts blinking
  • Then release the knob as it is blinking
  • Okay now press it again for a few seconds to enter the oil life reset mode
  • Finally, depress the knob again for five seconds or more and then this will reset it to 100%
