2002-2008 Models (E85 E86)

Time needed: 7 minutes

Follow the instructions below if your vehicle is equipped with a Tire Pressure Set button. Follow these steps to get started:

  1. Stop the vehicle and turn off the engine

    Make sure your vehicle is in a safe place

  2. Adjust the cold tire pressure in all four tires recommended on the tire placard

    Put the key into the ignition slot, depress the brake pedal, and then press the START/STOP ENGINE button

  4. Look for the Tire Pressure Set button and then press it for 5 seconds

2009-2016 Models (E89)

In this old generation of the BMW Z4 (sDrive18i, sDrive20i, sDrive23i, sDrive28i, sDrive30i, sDrive35i), you can reset tire pressure via iDrive. Here’s how to do it:

  • Make sure to adjust the tire pressure recommended on the tire placard
  • Turn on the ignition without starting the engine
  • Press MENU button to enter the main menu

  • Select VEHICLE STATUS
  • Select RESET
  • Start the engine but don’t drive your car
  • Start the initialization using “RESET
  • Drive the car

2018-2021 Models (G29)

Just like the previous generation, you can access the tire pressure menu to reset the TPMS via iDrive on the sDrive20i, sDrive30i, M40i model. Here’s how to do it:

  • Make sure to adjust the tire pressure recommended on the tire placard
  • Turn on the ignition without starting the engine
  • Press the HOME button to enter the main menu
  • Go to the CAR by using the iDrive controller

  • Start the engine but don’t drive your car
  • Select PERFORM RESET to start the initialization
  • Drive the car

The TPMS calibration process will complete during driving. It will finish automatically.
