How To Reset Hummer H3 Change Oil Minder Oil Life Light (2005-2010) – The Hummer H3 is a US manufacturer Hummer off-road car, which was introduced in 2006. When the remaining oil life is low, the Oil Change message will appear on the display. The Oil Life display must be reset after each oil change. Follow the instructions below to reset the engine oil life system on your Hummer H3:
- Turn the ignition key to the “ON” position
Don’t start the engine!
- Press the TRIP button briefly until you see Oil Life on the display
The button is located on the instrument cluster
- Press and hold the TRIP button for several seconds
Once the alternating “Oil Life” and “Reset” messages appear, press and hold the button until several beeps sound.
- Turn the ignition off and start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset

You can also reset the Engine Oil Life System through the following ways:
- Turn the ignition to ON position without starting the engine.
- Fully press and release the accelerator pedal 3 times within five seconds.
- Turn the ignition off and start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
