Reset Guide: Volvo V40 Tyre Pressure Sensor Light (2013-2019) – The V40 is a car manufactured by Volvo since 2012 in Ghent. The Volvo V40 Cross Country is a version of the V40 that is 40 millimeters higher on the wheels and features a tougher bodywork.

It was a five-door compact hatchback sedan as the brand’s entry-level model replaced the S40 and V50, which had not been in the range since May 2012, and the smaller C30. In July 2019, production was discontinued without a direct successor model.

Whenever tire pressure is adjusted or change the tire you need to reset or calibrate the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). Depending on your vehicle model, here are a few ways to reset the TPMS on 2013 2014 2015 2016 2017 2018 2019 Volvo V40:

  1. Stop the vehicle

    Turn off the engine

  2. Adjust the cold tire pressure in all four tires recommended on the tire placard

  3. Start the engine

    With depressing the brake pedal and put the key into the ignition slot, press the START/STOP ENGINE button

  4. Press the MY CAR button to enter the car menu

  5. Select the TIRE MONITOR

    Rotate the TUNE knob to scroll and press the OK/MENU button to select

  6. Select CALIBRATE TIRE PRESSURE

    Press the OK/MENU button to execute the tire reset

  7. Start the engine and drive the vehicle at a speed above 20 mph until the new inflation pressure has been saved

    Done!

The TPMS calibration process will complete after 10 minutes of driving at speeds over 35 km/h (22 mph). It will finish automatically.
