Clavia has unveiled the new Nord Lead A1 analog modeling synthesizer and the Nord Lead A1R, a desktop or rack-mountable version of the new Lead A1 analogue modelling synthesizer. It’s combines the latest analogue modeling engine from the acclaimed Lead 4. Designed to encourage experimentation, the selling point Clavia is pushing on the Nord Lead A1 is speed. The Lead A1 introduces a new front-panel user interface designed is said to make programming quick and easy, while retaining hands on flexibility. And this is a Nord, so that means not only working in the studio, but manipulating sounds onstage. Like all Nord instruments, the Lead A1 and Lead A1R are handmade in Nord’s Stockholm factory with incredible attention to detail and quality control.
According to several Nord Lead A1 reviewers, some users have praised it for the new front-panel user interface; Dial-per-function ethos with Impulse Morphing. Also, some users have complained it for the Lacks some features you’d expect, chiefly aftertouch and a decent-sized display.

The only way to restoring a Nord Lead A1 to its Factory content by using the Nord Sound Manager and downloading a Restore file. The Restore files are named as Nord MODEL Factory Restore vXX revY. Please click HERE to downloading the Nord Lead A1 Factory Restore file from the Nord website.
To start restoring the Nord Lead A1, first you should connect your Nord Lead A1 to the computer and launch the Nord Sound Manager. Then, click on the Restore icon in the Nord Sound Manager toolbar and a file browser will appear. Next, locate the downloaded file, select it and click Open. When a message a appears, click Restore to start initialization of the program.
Warning! When you execute this “Factory Reset” procedure, the all the content in the Nord instrument will be irrevocably replaced by the content from the Restore file. Do not turn off the Nord instrument or disconnect the USB connection while restoring is in progress. Do not use this function unless you are certain that you want to do this.
