The third generation came out in 2007 and was very different from the previous Navigator. It is based on the Ford T1 platform where the Ford Expedition and F-150 are also based.

Completely redesigned, this model stands out from its two predecessors. The most noticeable changes were to the front end, with the vast chrome-colored radiator grille, the newly designed headlights and a “stronger” bonnet.
