2003-2010 Models (E83)

Time needed: 7 minutes

For 2004 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009 2010 model years, follow the instructions below if your vehicle is equipped with a Tire Pressure Set button. Follow these steps to get started:

  1. Stop the vehicle and turn off the engine

    Make sure your vehicle is in a safe place

  2. Adjust the cold tire pressure in all four tires recommended on the tire placard

In the BMW X3 (2011 2012 2013 2014 2015 2016 2017), you can reset the Tire Pressure through the iDrive. Here’s how to get started:

  • Make sure to adjust the tire pressure recommended on the tire placard
  • Turn on the ignition without starting the engine
  • Press MENU button to enter the main menu

  • Select RESET or CONFIRM TYRE PRESSURE
  • Start the engine but don’t drive your car
  • Start the initialization using “RESET
  • Drive the car

2018-2021 Models (G01)

Just like the previous generation, you can access the tire pressure menu to reset the TPM via iDrive in the 2018 2019 2020 2021 model years. Here’s how to do it:

  • Make sure to adjust the tire pressure recommended on the tire placard
  • Turn on the ignition without starting the engine
  • Press the MENU button to enter the main menu
  • Go to the MY VEHICLE by using the iDrive controller

  • Start the engine but don’t drive your car
  • Select PERFORM RESET to start the initialization
  • Drive the car

The TPM calibration process will complete during driving. It will finish automatically.
