Time needed: 1 minute

It’s pretty simple to open up the fuel door on Audi A4 because there is no button or any lever to open it. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Turn off the car

Make sure to unlock the car

  2. Get out of the vehicle and find the fuel door

Going to walk around to the back. The fuel door is located on the vehicle’s passenger side

  3. Push and release the center-rear edge of the fuel door

It will pop open and allowing you to refuel the car

  4. Unscrew the gas cap counterclockwise to open it

    Done!

  • 2008 red emergency cable is behing a round botton, about 2" diam. in the wall of the trunk liner. pop that open and therein is the cable.

  • Is this a one time fix? I had to use this today to get gas but now I don’t know how to put the red cord back and pulling it again no longer opens the gas door?!
