2017-2020 Fiat 124 Spider Oil Change Light Maintenance Minder Reset – The Fiat 124 Spider is a Fiat rear-wheel-drive roadster, first presented by FCA at the 2015 LA Auto Show. The car is largely based on the fourth generation of the Mazda MX-5 roadster and is built on the same production line at the Mazda plant in Hiroshima.
The 124 shares base plate, interior, windows and roof with the MX-5, but has a Multiair turbo engine designed and built by Fiat. The biggest difference is the Italian body design. The model name and body design strongly refer to the Fiat 124 Sports Spider designed by Pininfarina, which was produced from 1966 to 1985.

When engine oil needs to replace, Spanner Light or Oil Change Required message will appear on the display. The engine oil life system must be reset after performed the maintenance service or change the engine oil on your vehicle. Follow the instructions below to reset the Oil Change Required Light on your Fiat:
- Turn the ignition key to the “ON” position without starting the engine
If your vehicle has an ignition button, press the Engine Start/Stop button without touching the brake pedal
- Go to APPLICATION menu by using Multimedia Control Knob
The controls are located on the center dash
- Scroll to MAINTENANCE
Press the multimedia control knob to select
- Select the maintenance item you want to reset
On this menu you can select SCHEDULE or OIL CHANGE
- Select RESET or set the distance for engine oil interval
This menu lets you set an engine oil reminder at a specific interval or reset the current one
- Turn the ignition off and start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

Method 2:
For all models, the oil life system can also be reset as follows:
- Turn the ignition to ON position without starting the engine.
- Fully press and release the accelerator pedal 3 times within ten seconds.
- Turn the ignition off and start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
