Time needed: 3 minutes

Alright, we’re in a Dodge Nitro. This particular one’s 2007, and when we started up, it gave me a change oil soon indicator. So the way you reset is:

  1. First, turn your key forward to the ON position

Once you’re inside the vehicle in order to get the oil life reset, you should turn the ignition to the ON position without actually starting the car

  2. Step on the GAS PEDAL slowly three times

Then tap your foot on the Gas pedal three times all the way to the floor within 10 seconds

  3. Start the car

Once you are done with that, you can turn the ignition off and start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset

So that’s all there is to reset the oil life on your Dodge Nitro (2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 model years). I hope you enjoyed it. Any other content you want to see on the Nitro, let me know in the comments below. I’ll be glad to make it for you. Thanks for reading, and have a wonderful day.
