2012-2018 Models (Mk7)
There are two ways to reset the TPMS on this seventh generation by using the Set button or via Multimedia. Depending on your vehicle trim level, here is how to do it:
With Set Button

In this 2012 2013 2014 2015 VW Volkswagen Beetle, you can reset TPMS using the SET button. Here’s how to do it:
- Stop the vehicle and turn off the engine
Make sure your vehicle is in a safe place
- Adjust the cold tire pressure in all four tires recommended on the tire placard on the door panel
The cold tire is a tire that is not driven more than 3 hours
- Switch on the ignition without starting the engine
If your vehicle has an ignition button, press the START-STOP ENGINE button without touching the brake pedal
- Look for the TPMS SET button and then press it until you hear a chimes

With Multimedia
For the 2016 2017 2018 model years, follow the instructions below if your vehicle is equipped with a multimedia display.
- Make sure to adjust the tire pressure recommended on the tire placard
- Switch on the ignition without starting the engine
- Press the CAR button on the multimedia
- Select the vehicle SETTINGS or SETUP menu by tap the touchscreen
- Select TIRES
- Select SET
- When a confirmation message appears, select CONFIRM to execute the TPMS reset
2019-2021 Models (Mk8)
Like the previous model, you can reset the TPMS through the Infotainment display on this eighth-generation (2019 2020 2021).
- Make sure to adjust the tire pressure recommended on the tire placard
- Switch on the ignition without starting the engine
- Press the MENU button on the Infotainment display
- Select the VEHICLE menu by tap the touchscreen
- Select VEHICLE SETTINGS (located in the right corner of the screen)
- Select TIRES
- Select SET
- When a confirmation message appears, select CONFIRM to execute the TPMS reset
