The Acorn Masterkey is a MIDI keyboard controller perfect for beginners setting up a home studio. On the Masterkey is a solid USB keyboard with assignable MIDI control to map your favourite parameters. It’s very light, but well put together and reasonably sturdy. The key action is on the light side too, and this may or may not appeal, but it’s smooth and playable. The front panel there are enough controls to hand that you won’t be short of an assigned rotary knob (there are four) for simple recording duties. There’s only one fader, but again for quick drop-ins of keyboard work you can arguably get away with reassigning what this controls as you go. Alongside the keys you have assignable pitch-bend and modulation wheels. Finally, there’s a bright red LED display with quick-toggle controls that allow you to fly through the various octave, transposing and program change functions.
According to several user reviews, they have praised Acorn Instruments Masterkey for the decent build quality, comes with Presonus Studio One Artist. Also, some users have complained it for the light key action won’t be to everyone’s taste.

To restoring Acorn Instruments Masterkey to it’s factory settings, just simply power ON while simultaneously holding the [OCT -] and [OCT +] buttons until “888” appears on the display.
Warning! This operation returns all settings you’ve made in the menus to their factory-set condition. Do not use this function unless you are certain that you want to do this. Hopefully the article of “Resetting Acorn Instruments Masterkey 61 USB MIDI Controller Keyboard” can help you.
