How To Reset Service Light On Opel/Vauxhall Vivaro (2011-2022)

Hello guys! Welcome to another video from Seven Trumpets. We just got a short video today showing you how to reset the service light on this Opel or Vauxhall Vivaro van. It’s pretty straightforward to reset.

Usually, your warning would just come off and come up on the center display here. Right as always, before we start any jobs, we read the workshop manual and go through the relevant points. Now this will be a simple job, so it should be interesting, so let’s get on with it.

How To Reset Service Light On Opel/Vauxhall Vivaro

For your info, this guide will be valid for the Vivaro A/B/C (2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 model years).

2011-2013 Vivaro A

This section will show you how to remove a service light on the Vivaro A. All those we’re going to use the accelerator and the brake pedal. So now all you need to do is:

What I will say first off the bat is this will not work if your door is open or your doors are locked. So make sure that their doors are closed and that your central locking is off
Then we’ll turn the ignition on and wait until the lights settle
After that, we’re going to press and hold the ACCELERATOR pedal in all the way and then we’re going to depress the BRAKE pedal a total of three times but hold it in on the third time
So there we go the service light has gone out guys and now you can release the pedals

2014-2018 Vivaro B

Time needed: 3 minutes

Here we have a 2016 Vauxhall Vivaro B. It should be the same for the Opel, and now we’re doing a service light reset today. You will need these two great buttons on the stalk here and just the key in the ignition. So this will go through what you need to do:

First, switch the ignition on
If your vehicle has an ignition button, press the START-STOP ENGINE button without step on the brake pedal
Go to the SERVICE INTERVAL
Then you press this top button on the end of the stalk till you get the Service Interval screen. These are the two buttons you need to work on:
Hold down the button on the end of the wiper lever
When you get there you press and hold that same key for about 10-15 seconds
Press and hold again the button
After that the display will change to Oil Change interval, now you can release the button and then hold down the button again till it flashes
Release the button
Once it stops flashing the new interval will come up and the reset is complete so you can release the button
Start the car
Now you can just switch the ignition off and start the car up and press that same button so no message is memorized

2019-2022 Vivaro C

All we’re going to do is just start with the ignition off
Then we’re going to press and hold the CHECK or a little button on the dash with a 🔧 spanner on it

While turning the ignition you keep that button depressed and you’ll get the little timer to start counting down from 10
Just keep hold of the button until that gets to zero
Once it is on zero just simply release the button and the service light’s all reset
Now you can turn the ignition off and when you turn the ignition back on the service light will disappear
