How To Reset Oil Maintenance Light On Lexus LS (2007-2022)

Good morning and welcome to another episode. Today we’re going to be resetting the oil maintenance light on my Lexus LS. I know cool stuff working on this regular old. Anyway, it is something that you should see a lot of people own cars.

By the way, we got over 270,000 miles on this Lexus LS 460 that I bought last year out of the year, and I have not changed the oil, which I should have definitely done. So here’s a look at everything you will need to do to complete the job.

How To Reset Oil Maintenance Light On Lexus LS

For your info, this operation work for the fourth and fifth generations of the Lexus LS460/LS500 (, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 model years).

2007-2017 Lexus LS460 LS600H

Time needed: 3 minutes

Alright, now we’re in the Lexus LS460 and will reset this maintenance light. It’s pretty simple if, with most Toyota’s, you’re going to hit the trip button and hold it down, but with this Lexus, you’re actually going to hold down the RESET button. So now all you need to do is:

Turn on your car without starting the engine
Hit the START button two times with your foot off the brake to turn on the ignition
Get to the TRIP A screen
When you’re gonna end up doing is you’re gonna be using the TRIP button you have right here and you’re gonna need to set the trip on TRIP A
Turn off the car
Then what we’re gonna do is we’re gonna turn it off
Hold down the RESET button while turning on the ignition again
After that, I’m gonna hold the RESET button here but while I’m doing this I’m gonna hit the START button two times with my foot off the brake so I don’t want the car to start
Continue to hold down the RESET button
Keep holding that button and you’ll see it’s resetting the maintenance and then it’s done

2018-2022 Lexus LS500 LS500H

Push the START button two times
Then push the back button to clear any message and to get to the main screen
Next, you’ll use the directional pad to move to the right into the ⚙️

After that, you will go down and find the VEHICLE SETTINGS
From there select the SCHEDULE MAINTENANCE or OIL MAINTENANCE
Finally, select YES to execute the maintenance data reset

With Naviggation Screen (LS460 LS500)

With this vehicle, you also have to reset it on the navigation display. So let me guide you through the procedure.

Get in the car and turn it on
Press the MENU button on the center console to bring you to the main menu

Then you’re gonna need to go to SETUP
Next, scroll over go to VEHICLE
After that select the MAINTENANCE
At this point, if any of these are red you’re gonna have to pick them and go into them and reset them
