Hey, mister! What is going on? Today I’m working on a Land Rover Discovery or LR4 service required light reset. The oil change is done, but the service required light is still on, so I have to reset that.
I’ve actually done this quite a few times, and for some reason, every time I do it, it never seems to take, or it takes quite a few times to get it to stop telling you that service is required. So now I’ll take you along and show you how it’s done.

For your info, this guide will be valid for the Land Rover Discovery L319/L462 (2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 model years).
Time needed: 3 minutes
This section will show you how to reset the service light on the new Land Rover Discovery L462. You must do all this with the driver’s side door and the hood being open. So let’s go for it.
First off you want to turn the ignition on but you don’t want to start the car
When the ignition is on you need to open the bonnet or the hood then you’ll want to open the driver’s side door
After that, you press the Brake and the Accelerator pedal completely and hold it
The service resetting should appear in the display after a couple of seconds and once it disappears you can release both pedals and you’re done
Alright, guys, thanks so much for your time. I hope you learned a little bit about Discovery 4 today. Stay tuned for a lot more content, and we’ll see you on the next one.

From what I understand and have tested it. This does not work on L319 MY2010.
