Top of the morning to ya! Today I would show a step to reset your oil life or oil change light on the Dodge Nitro. Because I do it all the time here in the garage, it’s just so simple and basic. So actually, I’m going to show why dodge nitro is the easiest to reset oil on.
So we’ve done a basic oil change, and now it’s time to reset the oil light. It’s going to be super quick, easy standard maintenance that you want to make sure you do regularly according to your owner’s manual. It’s something that pretty much anybody can do in their garage or even under a shade tree. So stay with me, and let’s get this done.
Time needed: 3 minutes
Alright, we’re in a Dodge Nitro. This particular one’s 2007, and when we started up, it gave me a change oil soon indicator. So the way you reset is:
Once you’re inside the vehicle in order to get the oil life reset, you should turn the ignition to the ON position without actually starting the car
Then tap your foot on the Gas pedal three times all the way to the floor within 10 seconds
Once you are done with that, you can turn the ignition off and start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset
So that’s all there is to reset the oil life on your Dodge Nitro (2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 model years). I hope you enjoyed it. Any other content you want to see on the Nitro, let me know in the comments below. I’ll be glad to make it for you. Thanks for reading, and have a wonderful day.
