How To Reset Oil Change Required Light On Ford Expedition (2007-2014)

Hello SUV lover! How you doin’? I’m going to show you how to reset the oil change required light on a Ford Expedition in this post. Basically, you would need to do this after you have changed the oil in your Expedition.

This is kind of weird on the Expedition in the sense that the use. The Expedition has a suite system that kind of goes by the percentage of the oil life left. So there’s a sensor in the motor. I think that kind of knows when you have to change the oil, and I’ll show you what to do to reset that.

For your info, this operation will work for the third generation of the Ford Expedition (2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 model years).

With DIC Button

With Cluster Knob

If you don’t have a DIC button like this truck has and you have it may be like a little button on a cluster. So let’s see how it’s done.

• First insert the key and put the ignition on
• Then you just need to hit that knob till you see OIL LIFE HOLD RESET = NEW

• Once you get there, you’ll go ahead and hold it down to reset the oil life to 100%
