The Easy Way To Open Fuel Door/Gas Cap On GMC Yukon (2007-2022)

Need to open the GMC Yukon fuel door or gas cap? You’re in the right place, but let me tell you a little about a ridiculous incident. So my buddy spent half an hour attempting to open his gas cap door the first time he filled up. He searched for a gas cap knob. He checked the dashboard, glove compartment, seats, and trunk, but it was in vain.

It was just a matter of time until someone had figured out what was going on. The gas cap door swivels open with a simple press of one of its edges! Incredibly, something that should have been clear took me just half an hour to figure out!

How To Open The Fuel Door/Gas Cap On GMC Yukon

I’ve got some info for you if you seek a gas cap for your GMC Yukon. So it’s still spring-loaded like the old model. You just hit the back of the fuel door, and it will pop open, but may you look in, there is no more gas cap in the new model. It’s just a little open slot; you sip the nozzle to the gas pump, and it will penetrate the second level down there that will get your gas going.

The gasoline cap may be removed on the older model by gently turning it counterclockwise. Spring in the gasoline cap ensures that it will return to its original position to the right if the lid is removed prematurely. Hang the tethered gasoline cap from the hook on the fuel door while refilling.

GMC Yukon Gas Tank Size

Just for info, the GMC Yukon’s gas tank size varies by trim level, model choices, and model year. It ranges from 24.0 gallons to 39.0 gallons.

Huge gas tanks may minimize your time at the gas station, but you need to know how far they’ll bring you on the road. The range depends on fuel economy and whether you’re driving in the town or on the highway.

So that’s all there is to open the fuel door or gas cap on a GMC Yukon (2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 model years). So thank you for taking a look at my post and good luck!
