How are you doing, folks? Today I’m going to be showing you guys how you at home in your garage can do an oil service light reset after your own oil change on your Hyundai ix35.
I thought of making this because some of you guys like me might not trust the dealership, and you want to learn how to do it yourself. So in this post, I’m going to show you everything you’ll need to reset the oil on your car. So be sure to stay tuned.
Time needed: 3 minutes
Alright, we’re in the Hyundai ix35, and now we’ll reset the service light. You’re going to use the two buttons on the steering wheel here. You’ll have the ❏ and the ▼ buttons to access the menu on the cluster screen. So here’s the way to reset it:
The first step is to turn the ignition on
If your service doesn’t come up automatically I’ll just show you how to find that. You just keep pressing the ❏ (MODE) button and you cycle through. So every time I press it, something different happens on the dash until we get to the service
Once you’ve got that illuminated, the next thing to do is press and hold the ∇ button until it flashes
After that, release the ∇ button and then hold it again so your new mileage will come up and you’re ready to go
So that’s how you reset on this car (2014, 2015, 2016 model years). I hope you’ve enjoyed this well more than I did anyway. Because it was a bit of a pain, I don’t know how much that would have saved you getting the garage to do that. So it’s well worth doing yourself. Thanks for your time, and have a good day.
