How To Reset Mazda 2 Wrench Light Oil Change Minder (2015-2020) – The Mazda2 is a car model from Mazda and in production since 2003. It is the successor of the Mazda Demio or Mazda 121; in Japan, this type is sold under the name Demio. In 2007, the second generation of the Mazda2 was introduced to the market. The Mazda2 was voted # 2 of the European car of the year 2008. In 2014 Mazda has the Mazda 2 facelift.

When the remaining engine oil is low, the Wrench Indicator Light will appear on the display. The engine oil data must be reset after performed change the engine oil on your vehicle. Follow the instructions below to reset the Wrench Indicator Light on your Mazda 2:

  1. Make sure the vehicle is completely stopped

    Turn OFF the ignition

  2. Press and hold the Dashboard illumination knob

    The button is located on the instrument cluster

  3. Turn the ignition key to “ON” position without starting the engine

    If your vehicle has a Smart key button, press the “Start” button twice without touching the brake pedal.

  4. Keep press the Dashboard illumination knob until [wp-svg-icons icon=”warning” wrap=”i”] flashes.

    After the [wp-svg-icons icon=”warning” wrap=”i”] light flashes for several seconds, the reset is completed.

  5. Turn off the ignition and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

    Done!

Method 2:

The engine oil system can also be reset as follows:

  • Turn the ignition key to “ON” position without starting the engine, If your vehicle has a Smart key button, press the “Start” button twice without touching the brake pedal.
  • Select APPLICATION on the center dash screen to enter to the menu
  • Select VEHICLE STATUS MONITOR
  • Select MAINTENANCE
  • Select SCHEDULED and then select RESET
  • When a confirmation dialog appears, select “YES” to confirm
  • Next, back to the MAINTENANCE menu and select OIL CHANGE to reset the oil life
  • Select RESET and select “YES” to confirm
