How To Reset Oil Service Light On Hyundai Veloster (2014-2022)

Hey guys! How’s it going? Today, we’re going to be doing an oil service light reset on a Hyundai Veloster. I’m going to teach everyone how to do it themselves.

Here’s How You Reset Oil Service Light On Hyundai Veloster

It’s worth noting that the method you use will be determined by the year and type of your car (2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022).

2014-2017 Veloster

With Type A Screen

First insert the key and put the ignition on
We’ll start with this top key or the TRIP button to scroll through the menus and you’re gonna scroll until you get to the SERVICE REQUIRED screen with the triangle on it
Once there you’ll press and hold this RESET key and while you view the on-screen you’ll see that it resets

With Type B Screen

Time needed: 3 minutes

This section will show you how to reset the service light in this Veloster with the type B cluster and the steering wheel setup. So let’s get to it.

First, you turn it on
If your vehicle has an ignition button, press the START/STOP button twice without stepping the brake pedal
Hold down the TRIP button
Then we’re gonna hold down the TRIP button for about 3 seconds so you’re gonna see the USER SETTINGS menu
Scroll down and select MAINTENANCE
From there, you’re going to use the TRIP button to go down and also the RESET button to select. So we’ll go to MAINTENANCE in this menu
Go to the ENGINE OIL
Next, hit the TRIP button to go to ENGINE OIL and then hit the RESET button to select
Choose the miles you want
At this point, will give you all the different options for your car. So basically you just highlight whatever miles you want and then hit the RESET button to select it

2018-2022 Veloster

The first thing you want to do you gotta make sure your car is on
Then we’re going to push the ❏ button here that shows pages this allows us to cycle through the options of the dash. So we hit that button until we got the SETTINGS or a little gear up in the top right

Next, we want to push the down button to cycle through the options until we get to SERVICE INTERVAL and hit OK
After that, I bring this down to where it says RESET and hit OK
It will ask me to confirm the reset, so I hit OK on yes
Or if you want to set the service interval, you can go to ADJUST INTERVAL and from there you can set the range to whatever you want
