You have to reset the specified pressures whenever you adjust tire pressures, change a tire, or get it rotated in order for the TPMS to operate appropriately. Depending on your vehicle model year, here are a few ways to reset the TPMS on Audi A4 / S4:

2008-2016 Models (B8)

There are 2 ways to reset TPMS on the fourth generation of the Audi A4 / S4. These two ways are through the audio display but are different in the system menu.

With Audio Display 1

  • Make sure you have adjusted the tire pressure recommended on the tire placard
  • Turn ON the ignition without starting the engine
  • Press the CAR button on the center console

  • Select STORE NOW

With Audio Display 2

  • Make sure you have adjusted the tire pressure recommended on the tire placard
  • Turn ON the ignition without starting the engine
  • Press the CAR button on the center console
  • Press the left control button to access the CAR SYSTEM menu
  • Select SERVICE & CHECKS
  • Select TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING
  • Select STORE TIRE PRESSURE
  • Select YES to execute the TPMS reset

2017-2021 Models (B9)

Just like the previous model, you can reset the TPMS via the infotainment display, but this latest model (2019 2020 2021) uses a touchscreen. Here’s how to do it:

With Touchpad

  • Make sure you have adjusted the tire pressure recommended on the tire placard
  • Turn ON the ignition without starting the engine
  • Press the MENU button on the center console
  • Go to the CAR or VEHICLE menu by using the dial button
  • Find and select SERVICE & CHECKS by using the left control button

  • Select STORE TIRE PRESSURE
  • Select YES to execute the TPMS reset

With Touchscreen

Time needed: 7 minutes

Follow these instructions if your vehicle is equipped with a touchscreen

  1. Stop the vehicle and turn off the engine

    Make sure your vehicle is in a safe place

  2. Adjust the cold tire pressure in all four tires recommended on the tire placard on the door panel

    The cold tire is a tire that is not driven for more than 3 hours

  3. Turn ignition switch to ON position but do not start the engine

    If your vehicle has an ignition button, press the START-STOP ENGINE button once without touching the brake pedal.

  4. From the Home screen, tap the VEHICLE menu on the MMI display

    The MMI display is located on the center console

  5. Select SETTINGS & SERVICE

    Several menu options will appear

  6. Select TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING

    A message will appear on the display

  7. Select STORE TIRE PRESSURE

    A confirmation message will appears on the screen

  8. Select YES to execute the TPMS reset

    Done!
