Hey guys, what’s up? Have a wonderfully good day, and welcome to my new content. Today I will take you to reset the service light in a Mercedes-Benz E-Class W213 (E300/E400/E450). The E300 with a 2-liter petrol engine is the same as the diesel model.
Okay, so we have a 2018 E-Class, and the service light needs to reset. And all we have to use is the right-hand side of the steering wheel, the buttons. In this case, we’re in the UK so that it will be the right-hand side, but if you were in America or Europe, you’ll be the left-hand side of the steering wheel that would need to be used. So let’s get into it now.
Table of Contents
Time needed: 3 minutes
This section will explain how to reset service data on the Mercedes-Benz E-Class W213. This procedure may be complicated, but you can do it easily if you read it carefully. So the first thing we have to do is:
Press the START-STOP button with your foot step on the brake
Get the center display on the TRIP and TOTAL DISTANCE millage screen. We can do that by scrolling through the displays by using Touch Control on the steering wheel
Once the mileage screen is on we can switch the ignition off
Turn on the car by pressing the START-STOP button once without stepping on the brake
The button is located on the steering wheel
Remember! Don’t press the buttons simultaneously. The timing is very decisive at this step!
After several seconds the VEHICLE DATA menu should come up
Go down to assist plus and press the Touch Control button to enter the menu
At this stage we need to switch the ignition back on, so we need to press the START-STOP button once again
Once the ignition is on we can carry on and scroll down to Full Service
Next, highlight the Confirm Service and select it
This is the oil grade, so select it depending on which oil grade you use
After that, confirm by pressing yes, and the service reset is complete
For your info, this operation work for the fifth generation of the Mercedes Benz E-Class W213 (2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 model years).
At 10,000 miles or one year after you purchase your new Mercedes-Benz E-Class, a message on your display says that your Service A will appear. It’s essential to perform Service A.
Many people assume that your first service is simply an oil change. A thorough inspection explicitly customized to your Mercedes-Benz E-Class, which only an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer can perform. During your Service A, they’ll replace your oil and filter utilizing Mercedes-Benz synthetic motor oil and genuine Mercedes-Benz parts. They also check and correct all fluid levels depending on your factory’s recommended service intervals for your vehicle’s year and model. Check incorrect tire inflation, inspect all the brake components, and reset your maintenance counter.
We understand your Mercedes-Benz E-Class is an investment and an automotive masterpiece with advanced safety technologies and engineering. Therefore as an added value, they will also inspect all interior & exterior lamps, perform a 32-point inspection and conduct a road test.
It’s essential to change the oil in your Mercedes-Benz to help maintain engine performance as well as longevity. If you don’t change the oil, the consequences can permanently damage your engine.
Mercedes-Benz recommends changing your synthetic oil and filter every ten thousand miles. A prompt in your display unit will alert you to scheduled service for oil and other routine maintenance. This will include Service A, which is at ten thousand miles or one year, or Service B, which is twenty thousand miles or approximately two years.
We recommend you service your vehicle at a Mercedes-Benz dealership to ensure your oil maintenance meets the standards you and your car deserve.
According to the owner’s manual, the 2017 Mercedes E300 takes Mercedes-Benz Genuine Engine Oil SAE 5W-40 MB 229.5.
The engine oil capacity for the Mercedes E300 is 7.4 quarts (7 liters) and 9 quarts (8.5 liters) for the E450.
So that’s all there is to reset the service light on your Mercedes E-Class (E300//E400/E450). I hope this was helpful for you. Let me know if you guys have any questions or, more importantly, any advice about the oil or the TPMS reset on this vehicle. So thanks for your time, and have a good day!

Mercedes Benz E300 2017. Service B Overdue by 19000 Miles. How can I get rid of it?
Hi did you manage to get this resolved
if you get a message after reseting your service saying something like ..."service a/b overdue by xxxxxmiles"
as long as you drive over 60 miles, in 5 days do the same reset procedure again this will clear the error
