Hey yo, SUV lovers! So we’re back with another oil reset how-to content. In this post, we will cover how to reset your oil service light on your Nissan Pathfinder old generation, not the newest one.
Resetting the service light in this car is something you can easily do on your own at home without really needing special tools. If you do it yourself, you can save a lot of money and keep an eye on what’s going on with your vehicle. So let’s jump into this, and let’s reset it.

For your info, this will apply specifically to the 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 model years. 2013 through the current model year has been a little bit different but I’ll try to get you a link up here.

I have just done an oil change on this Nissan Pathfinder, and now I went to show you how to reset the service intervals on the navigation display. So let’s do it.
First of all, you turn on the ignition
Then go to the main menu and click on INFO so it will bring up the menu
Next, we go to the MAINTENANCE and click enter
After that, you go to ENGINE OIL and you click enter again
Then you go down to RESET DISTANCE and click enter and see it’s been reset
So that’s how you reset oil on the Nissan Pathfinder. This is an R51 pathfinder, but its default engines will be exactly the same, and this is Diesel’s, but I’m sure the petrol will be exactly the same. I really appreciate you guys tuning in, and we’ll see you guys next time.
