How To Reset Maintenance Oil Light On Nissan Pathfinder (2013-2022)

Good day, Nissan fam! Today I’m getting ready to reset the maintenance oil light in a Nissan Pathfinder; it has a 3.5 in it. This procedure should be the same from a 2013 Pathfinder up to the current model year, which is now 2022 at the date of this post.
One thing in mind you can turn the maintenance light on or turn it off in this particular vehicle. If you turn it off, they don’t have to get that warning light every few months, but that’s an option. But if you turn it on and you have a warning light, this is where I come in and show you how to reset it.

How To Reset Maintenance Oil Light On Nissan Pathfinder (2013-2022)
For your info, there are some ways to reset it and this guide will be valid for 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2022 model years.
2013-2020 Pathfinder (R52)
With Steering Button
Time needed: 3 minutes
There are two ways to do it you can either do it with navigation or the dash screen. But in this section, I will use the buttons on the steering wheel first. So let’s go for it.
- Turn on the car without started
First, you’re gonna turn the vehicle to the run position but you’re not going to turn the engine on
- Go to the SETTINGS
Then you’re gonna do is you can use the ❏ button here this is your menu button. You’re gonna press it to scroll all the way over to the ⚙️ SETTINGS
- Scroll down to the MAINTENANCE
Next, you’re gonna use the keypad and you’re gonna go down to get the MAINTENANCE and then you’re gonna press ENTER
- Get in SERVICE
From there you can go ahead and enter into the SERVICE
- Choose RESET or set the distance
At this point you can adjust the interval or you can go down to RESET and you enter on that and it would reset
- First, put the key in the ignition and get the ignition on
- Then you’re going to go over to the center display and hit the INFO button
- Go down to MAINTENANCE and hit ENTER
- Select ENGINE OIL
- From there hit ENTER again on the RESET DISTANCE and the distance has been reset now
2022 Pathfinder (R53)
- Get in the car and turn it on
- Then you’re going to start with these buttons on the steering. This is how you’re going to navigate everything, so if you scroll to the right you’ll eventually get the menu with the ⚙️ gear. This will be all your settings so press OK
- Next, you’re going to want to scroll down until you see MAINTENANCE and hit OK
- For your normal oil change service, it’ll be the first option which is SERVICE and you’re going to press OK
- At this point, you’re going to press OK to reset
- Confirm reset by selecting YES and you’re done
So that’s how you basically do it, guys. If you do any other service or want to set the intervals for them, they’ll all be in the same menu, and you want to return to the main menu by hitting the Back button. Thank you so much for coming along on my site, and have a great day.
