Hey mistaa, how do you do? We’re back again with a nice little easy top tip for you guys. Today we’ll show you how to reset the oil maintenance required light on Toyota Venza. It’s straightforward to do. It only takes about 30 seconds but makes sure you change the oil first.
So when the engine oil needs to be replaced, you’ll see that the maintenance required light on the dash is up near the fuel gauge and on heads-up oil maintenance required. Initially, it will flash and display temporarily, but after you drive more miles, it will stay steady and won’t go away until you reset it. So let’s get into it now.

Time needed: 3 minutes
Alright, we got a 2015 Toyota Venza, and I will show you how to reset the maintenance-required light here. I’ve just done the oil change on this one, so let’s reset it.
If your vehicle has an ignition button, press the START/STOP button two times without stepping on the brake pedal
There’s a knob on your cluster. Make sure you change it to TRIP A. As you can see, this is Trip A. If you hit it again, it goes to Trip B, and if you hit it again, it goes back to Odo, so leave it on TRIP A
Make sure you are in TRIP A when turning off the ignition!
Once you turn the ignition off you’re gonna go ahead press the ODO/TRIP knob and hold it as you turn the ignition back on
Continue to hold down the button and then on the screen, you’ll have the maintenance reset light in progress. It’s resetting the maint required light so wait till it completed
For your info, this operation work for the first and second generations of the Toyota Venza (2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2021, 2022, and 2023 model years).
Is the Toyota Venza hybrid more challenging to maintain? Not at all. Hybrids follow the same maintenance schedule as non-hybrids and, under certain circumstances. Their design can help them deliver less wear and tear than non-hybrids and fewer replacement parts. This is because of unique hybrid components like the electric motor, which works alongside the gasoline engine to produce a shared pool of power, and the electronic braking systems, which can decelerate the vehicle without using the brakes, helping to extend the life of the brake pads and rotors.
Plus, the hybrid battery is designed to last the vehicle’s life. So even though it’s a pretty major component, it’s no more prone to replacement than any other major component designed to last the life of the vehicle, like an engine or transmission.
The Toyota Venza also comes with more extended, hybrid-specific warranties, Toyota’s reputation for quality, durability, and reliability, and its unrivaled experience designing world-class hybrids. Simply put, these vehicles help deliver peace of mind year after year.
There are various engine oil available now, and you need to choose one that works with your 2014 Toyota Venza. The good news is that your owner’s handbook has you covered, suggesting an SAE 0W-20 full synthetic engine oil though you may also use 5W-20 in a pinch.
The 2013 Toyota Venza is offered in five distinct trim levels: LE, LE V6, XLE, XLE V6, and Limited V6. The smaller 2.7L 1AR-FE engine used in the base trim levels requires 4.6 quarts of oil, while the larger 3.5L 2GR-FE engine calls for 6.4 quarts.
The price per bottle will likely be between $4.16 and $17.50. A professional automotive service technician or mechanic will add $40 to $90 to the total cost if you have them do the change for you.
Alright, guys, I hope this helps a little bit. It has been reset, so you’re good for about five thousand miles. Hopefully, this content got you to learn something new. If you have any questions, leave a message in the comment box. Anyway, I’ll see you next time on some other crazy content, either resetting or fixing something, so have a great day, guys.

What about the 2012 version?
Thanks Nick!, maintenance light is reset, spent 5 minutes looking in owners manual before giving up. Wrote it down in maintenence log this time. And 2015 Venza with 2.7 L 4-cylinder engine takes 4.6 quarts plus 0.4 quarts for oil filter, so I just add 5 quarts when changing the oil and filter and that puts oil level at the top mark on the dipstick. Can get a 5 quart jug of synthetic oil at Walmart for $26-28.
