TPMS Reset Guide: GMC Terrain Tire Pressure System Light (2010-2021) – The GMC Terrain is an SUV from the GMC brand belonging to General Motors. The vehicle presented at the New York International Auto Show 2009 is the smallest and most economical model from GMC.
It replaces the Pontiac Torrent and shares the technical basis with the Chevrolet Equinox, Cadillac SRX, and Suzuki XL7. The second generation was unveiled at the 2017 North American International Auto Show and has been on sale in North America since 2017.

If you replacing a spare tire with a road tire containing the TPMS sensor on your GMC Terrain, the system will detect a malfunction, and the low tire pressure warning light will blink. When that happens, the TPMS sensor reset process must be done. Depending on the vehicle model you have, here are a few ways to reset the TPMS.
Time needed: 7 minutes
You’ll need TPMS Relearn Tool to reset the Tire Pressure Monitoring System in this GMC Terrain 2010 2011 2012 2013 2014 2015 2016 2017 model years. Follow these instructions to get started:
If your vehicle has an ignition button, press the Engine Start/Stop button without touching the brake pedal
The button is located on the center console
Use the ▼ button to cycle the menu
A confirmation message will appear on the display
The horn will sound twice and the TIRE LEARNING message will appear on the screen
Start from the driver side front tire, place the TPMS Relearn Tool against the tire sidewall, near the valve stem. Then press the button to activate the TPMS sensor
A horn chirp will confirm that the sensor has been reset
The TIRE LEARNING ACTIVE message will disappear
Done!
