2005-2021 SEAT León TPMS Tyre Pressure Warning Light Reset Guide – The SEAT Leon is a five-door hatchback from the SEAT car brand built at the SEAT plant in Martorell, Spain. The SEAT Leon is named after the Spanish city of León.

The second-generation Leon entered the market in 2005. It follows the style that can also be found in the SEAT Altea. In 2006, the SEAT Leon Cupra entered the market with a turbocharged 2.0-liter direct-injection TFSI engine.

2005-2021 SEAT León TPMS Tyre Pressure Warning Light Reset Guide

Each time adjusting tyre pressure or changing one or more wheels, you need to reset the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). Depending on your vehicle model, here are a few ways to reset the TPMS on SEAT León:

2005-2011 Models (MK2)

Time needed: 7 minutes

In this 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009 2010 22011 2012 SEAT León, you can reset TPMS using the SET button. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Stop the vehicle and turn off the engine

    Make sure your vehicle is in a safe place

  2. Adjust the cold tire pressure in all four tires recommended on the tire placard on the fuel tank flap

    The cold tire is a tire that is not driven more than 3 hours

  3. Switch on the ignition without starting the engine

    If your vehicle has an ignition button, press the START-STOP ENGINE button without touching the brake pedal

  4. Look for the TPMS SET button and then press it until you hear a chimes

    The button is located on the centre console

2012-2019 Models (MK3)

There are two ways to reset the TPMS on this third-generation (2012 2013 2014 2015 2016 2017 2018 2019) by using the Set button or via Multimedia. Depending on your vehicle trim level, here is how to do it:

With Set Button

If your vehicle is equipped with a TYRE SET button, please press and hold the button until the TPMS indicator blinks twice after adjusting the cold tire pressure on all four tires recommended on the tire placard. The button is located near in the glove box.

With Multimedia Display

Follow the instructions below if your vehicle is equipped with a multimedia display.

  • Make sure to adjust the tire pressure recommended on the tire placard
  • Switch on the ignition without starting the engine
  • Press the MENU or [wp-svg-icons icon=”table” wrap=”i”] button on the multimedia
  • Select the VEHICLE menu by tap the touchscreen
  • Select the SETTINGS
  • Select TYRES
  • Select SET
  • When a confirmation message appears, select CONFIRM to execute the TPMS reset

2020-2021 Models (MK4)

In this latest model (2020 2021), you can reset the TPMS via the infotainment display. Here’s how to do it:

  • Make sure to adjust the tire pressure recommended on the tire placard
  • Switch on the ignition without starting the engine
  • Press the CAR button on the multimedia
  • Select EXTERIOR settings tab menu
  • Select TYRE
  • Select SET
  • When a confirmation message appears, select CONFIRM to execute the TPMS reset
