Restoring the Factory Settings of the Yamaha CP300

The Yamaha CP300 is a digital stage piano. Introduced in 2006, the Yamaha CP300 offers almost identical specifications compared to the P250 it replaces. The Yamaha CP-300 has 88 graduated weighted keys. This means that the keys are somewhat heavier on the low end than the high. The 88 key keyboard uses Yamaha’s innovative GHE (graded hammer effect) system to provide a really authentic resistance any time a key is hit. The Yamaha CP300 weights 71.7 lbs, which is moderately heavier than the average for all Stage Digital Piano Digital Pianos and Keyboards.

The Yamaha CP300 has a maximum polyphony of 128 notes, which is the average for all Stage Digital Piano Digital Pianos and Keyboards. These notes are all extremely good quality and can be easily accessed at any time during your performance if you want to add any of them into your play. Yamaha CP300 has 16 songs preloaded onto the piano, which is significantly less than the average for all Digital Pianos and Keyboards.  You are also able to access a further 480 XG voices, as well as 12 different drum kits too.

Factory Reset:

To Restoring the Factory Settings of the CP300, first press the [OTHER SETTING] button. Use the A [–][+] buttons to call up “Factory Set” in the display. Then, select either “Memory File Excluded” or “Memory File Included” by using the D [–][+] buttons. To execute the function, press the B [+] button.

Method 2

• Power ON while simultaneously holding the white key on the right end of the keyboard (C7).
  • In this case, the Memory files saved in the storage memory are not erased.

• Power ON while simultaneously holding the rightmost white key (C7) and black key (Bb6) together
  • In this case, the Memory files saved in the storage memory are erased.

Warning! Be sure you want to erase the memory and return the Yamaha CP300 to its factory default state before continuing with this procedure.
