How Do I Reset TPMS Tire Pressure Sensor Light on Buick LaCrosse (2007-2019) – The LaCrosse is a mid-sized luxury sedan. The LaCrosse came in 2005 to succeed the Buick Century and Buick Regal.

The Buick LaCrosse was for sale in North America but was sold in Canada under the name Allure. A luxurious version of the LaCrosse was made in 2008. The Super was also the fastest LaCrosse at the time.

How Do I Reset TPMS Tire Pressure Sensor Light on Buick LaCrosse (2007-2019)

If you replacing a spare tire with a road tire containing the TPMS sensor on your Buick LaCrosse, the system will detect a malfunction and the low tire pressure warning light will blink. When that happens, the TPMS sensor reset process must be done. Depending on the vehicle model you have, here are a few ways to reset the TPMS.

2007-2010 Models

Time needed: 7 minutes

If you have a 2007 2008 2009 2010 Buick LaCrosse, you can reset the TPMS by increasing or decreasing the tire pressure without a tool. Follow these instructions to get started:

  1. Turn the ignition key to the “ON” position without starting the engine

    If your vehicle has an ignition button, press the Engine Start/Stop button without touching the brake pedal

  2. Press the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter’s LOCK and UNLOCK buttons simultaneously for five seconds

    The horn will sound twice and the TIRE LEARNING ACTIVE message will appear indicating the TPMS matching process has started

  3. Activate the TPMS sensor

    Start from the driver side front tire, remove the valve cap, and then increasing or decreasing the tire’s air pressure until a horn chirp sounds

  4. Repeat the process for the passenger side front tire, passenger side rear tire, and the driver side rear tire

    A horn chirp will confirm that the sensor has been reset

  5. Turn off the ignition after you reset the last tire

    The TIRE LEARNING ACTIVE message will disappear

  6. Adjust the tire pressure in all four tires recommended on the tire placard

    Done!

2011-2013 Models

Unlike the previous model year, you’ll need TPMS Relearn Tool to reset the Tire Pressure Monitoring System in this 2011 2012 2013 model years. Follow these steps to do it:

  • Turn the ignition key to the “ON” position without starting the engine
  • Press the MENU button briefly until you see the VEHICLE INFORMATION MENU on the display

  • Scroll down to the TIRE PRESSURE menu
  • Press and hold the SET/CLR button until the horn sounds twice to enter the relearn mode
  • Press the SET/CLR button again if a confirmation message appears on the screen
  • Start from the driver side front tire, place the TPMS Relearn Tool against the tire sidewall, near the valve stem. Then press the button to activate the TPMS sensor
  • A horn chirp will confirm that the sensor has been reset
  • Repeat the process for the passenger side front tire, passenger side rear tire, and the driver side rear tire
  • Turn off the ignition after you reset the last tire
  • Adjust the tire pressure in all four tires recommended on the tire placard

2014-2019 Models

Just like the previous model, you’ll need TPMS Relearn Tool to reset the Tire Pressure Monitoring System in this latest LaCrosse model year. Here’s how to do it:

  • Press and holds the ENGINE START/STOP button for 5 seconds without touching the brake pedal
  • Press the ◄ navigation button to access the cluster applications
  • Select INFO
  • Scroll down to the TIRE PRESSURE menu
  • Press and hold the ✓ button to enter the relearn mode
  • Start from the driver side front tire, place the TPMS Relearn Tool against the tire sidewall, near the valve stem. Then press the button to activate the TPMS sensor
  • A horn chirp will confirm that the sensor has been reset
  • Repeat the process for the passenger side front tire, passenger side rear tire, and the driver side rear tire
  • Turn off the ignition after you reset the last tire
  • Adjust the tire pressure in all four tires recommended on the tire placard
