How To Reset Oil Life/Service Light On Kia Sorento (2013-2015)

Hey yo! What’s up, guys! Today I got a Kia Sorento, and I’m going to show you how to reset the oil life or that annoying service light.

I just did an oil change on the vehicle, and I’m going to reset my oil change maintenance service interval reminder. This is another vehicle that you don’t need to use the equipment to do it. So let’s jump into this and get this thing done.

Here’s How You Reset Oil Life/Service Light On Kia Sorento

Time needed: 3 minutes

So now, to reset the service light on this Sorento, we’ll use these two buttons, so what we’re going to be dealing with this is ❏ what I call a Menu button and a ▼ down arrow button. So let’s go inside and reset the oil life.

Turn on your car
First, hit your Start button twice and wait that gets you into the main menu on the speedometer
Go to the 🔧 Service Interval
Now we got to go over to the actual maintenance counter so just hit your ❏ MENU button till it gets you to the 🔧 Service Interval
Hold down the ▼ button
To reset it, you just need to hold down your ▼ down arrow button for two seconds and it’ll reset

Here’s How You Adjust The Interval

In this section, I’ll show you how to adjust the service interval’s actual value. So let’s get it going.

When the ignition on, you hit the MENU button to find the ⚙️ USER SETTINGS menu
Then we go to the down arrow button here to get into the menu
From here we’re going to hit the ▼ down arrow button four times
to get the Service Interval menu and I’m going to hit the MENU button
After that, we go down two times to the ON menu and there are your settings and here you have to set your digits.
At this point, you can set the interval by hitting your ▼ down arrow button to move down to the digits and hitting the Menu button to change the value

Hi There are 2 different dash slusters for the 2015 kia sorento Mine has a speedometer with a small screen at the bottom of the speedo. i cannot find any info on resetting the oil life for this dash
