Lexus GS Oil Change Advice
To help you make the most informed decision about the recommended oil change schedule for your Lexus GS, we’ve included information about the vehicle’s steering and suspension system, oil change kits, and Lexus GS oil changes. Keep these tips in mind to get the most out of your car. The next time you’re at the mechanic, ask about your car’s oil change interval. There are some baseline standards you should follow regarding oil changes.
Oil Change Kits
Whether you own a new or used Lexus GS, using the correct kit can save money on your next oil change. This kit includes everything you need for a quality oil change, including 7 liters of German full synthetic RAVENOL ECS 0W-20 motor oil. The oil meets API SN motor oil quality standards and is 100% genuine German. Using CleanSynto technology, this oil has been proven to clean internal engine components, maximize engine durability and longevity, and reduce maintenance costs. The oil has formal OEM approval and features standard certifications, so you can rest assured you’re using the best possible oil.
Oil Change Intervals
The first step in maintaining your car is changing the oil and filter. Lexus recommends changing your oil and filtering every 5,000 to 10,000 miles, depending on the type of oil you are using. Synthetic oil should be changed every seven to ten thousand miles. Read your owner’s manual or visit a local Lexus dealer for more information on the proper intervals for your car. Park Place offers several oil change options and strives to diagnose each vehicle correctly.
Oil Change Cost
Oil change prices will vary depending on the model and year of your Lexus GS. However, you can generally expect to pay between $172 and $189 for a standard synthetic oil change. Prices are subject to change depending on the type of oil and the oil filter you choose. Many car owners will choose to change the oil and filter themselves at home to save money on oil changes. You must purchase Toyota Genuine Motor Oil SAE 0W-20 and filter to do this yourself. The cost will depend on the model year and the location of the oil change.
Steering and Suspension System
To get the best results, it’s essential to get a proper inspection of your Lexus GS before you purchase it. Don’t take every car to the mechanic, but visit a reputable Lexus mechanic first. If the owner refuses to allow you to inspect the vehicle, this could mean that they’re hiding something. However, you’ll be able to get a better idea of when your car needs to be serviced.
Oil Prevents Engine Knocking
Keeping your Lexus GS 350’s engine oil fresh is essential to keep your vehicle running efficiently and prevents engine knocking. The oil keeps all parts of your engine clean by carrying debris to the oil filter. This reduces the risk of oil leaks and spills. Using the wrong oil can damage your engine and void its warranty. Lexus offers an easy-to-read chart on its website that details when and how often you should change your oil.
