How To Reset Oil Service Light On KIA Rio (2012-2017)

Hello everybody! Today we will be resetting the oil service light on this KIA Rio. I just did my oil change, and now it’s time to reset the service interval. If you have 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 models, it’s going to be a similar procedure.
So when the engine oil needs to replace, you’ll see a Service Required message on display. So you need to change your engine oil, and I guess the last thing would be to reset your Kia oil service interval. I’m excited to show you guys how to do this, so let’s get started.
How To Reset Oil Service Light On KIA Rio (2012-2017)

Alright, we’ve got a 2017 Kia Rio. I’ve just done the service on it, but it shows that the service is required once I start the car. It straightforward way to reset this. So the way you do this is:
- Get in the car and turn it on
If your vehicle has an ignition button, press the START-STOP button two times without stepping on any pedal
- Press and hold the TRIP button
Then press and hold the TRIP button down for about two seconds and it’s gonna pull up the USER SETTINGS
- Scroll to MAINTENANCE
Next, press the RESET button on the MAINTENANCE
- Select ENGINE OIL
After that, scroll down to where it says ENGINE OIL and select that by pressing the RESET button
- Adjust the service interval
Now at this point, you can set the interval to whatever miles you want
- Hold down the TRIP button
If finished, you can come out of the Maintenance mode by pressing the TRIP button for more than 2 seconds
