Good morning my friend! In this post, we’re going to explain how to reset the oil life or turn off a light that shows that we need to change the oil in a Chevy Uplander. This is for a 2005 Uplander, but if you have 2006, 2007, 2008, or 2009 models, it will be a similar procedure.
So we just finished changing the engine oil in it, but we have one more thing left to do. The last thing we need to do is actually tell it we’ve changed the oil. That way, it can track it for us if we need it to. I change it seasonally anyway, but maybe it needs it earlier. So let’s get into it now.
Time needed: 3 minutes
Alright, I’m going to be inside the Chevy Uplander, and I’m going to show you how to reset this oil life. So here’s the way to reset it:
So first we’re gonna come sit inside the vehicle here and start it up
Then right over here we’re just gonna hit this INFO button to clear what’s on there and go to the menu right here it says OIL LIFE
To reset it we’re gonna hold down the ⏎ button and it will go back to 100
Now you can turn the ignition off and start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset
Finally, the oil change and oil life reset of the Chevy Uplander have been completed. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me if you have any questions or concerns about this article. I really hope that this knowledge has been beneficial to you. Greetings to all of you!
