How To Reset Oil Life/Oil Change Light On GMC Envoy (2002-2009)

Howdy, GM fam! How is it going? Today, we will be learning how to reset your oil life or oil change light on the GMC Envoy. May some of you guys might hate going and get an oil change, and they didn’t reset it, or you might do your oil change, and you want to reset it now.
This is a 2005 GMC Envoy that we will be working with. You don’t need any tools to do this, and you would just be doing a few simple steps. This vehicle has already had an oil change so let’s start the reset procedure.
How To Reset Oil Life/Oil Change Light On GMC Envoy (2002-2009)

This section will show you how to reset your change oil soon light on this 2003 GMC Envoy. This process is pretty much the same for the other GM cars, and obviously, you want to shut this light off after you have changed the oil. So here we go.
- Put the vehicle into the on position
First, without starting your vehicle you’re going to turn your key to the on position as two clicks
- Step on the GAS pedal 3 times
Once you do that you’re gonna pump your GAS pedal three times slowly within five seconds and your change oil soon light will turn off
- Release the pedal
Then you will turn your key off, wait three seconds and start your vehicle. Once you do that your light will blink and the light will be out for good
For your info, this operation work for the second generation of the GMC Envoy (2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 model years).
