If you replacing a spare tire with a road tire containing the TPMS sensor on your Pontiac G6, the system will detect a malfunction and the low tire pressure warning light will blink. With RKE Button

Time needed: 7 minutes

If you have 2008 2009 2010 Pontiac G6, you can reset the TPMS by increasing or decreasing the tire pressure without using tools. Follow these instructions to get started:

Turn the ignition key to the “ON” position without starting the engine
If your vehicle has an ignition button, press the Engine Start/Stop button without touching the brake pedal
Press the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter’s LOCK and UNLOCK buttons simultaneously for five seconds
The horn will sound twice and the TIRE LEARNING ACTIVE message will appear indicating the TPMS matching process has started

In addition to using the RKE, you can access the Tire Learn mode via DIC. Follow these instructions to get started:

Turn the ignition key to the “ON” position without starting the engine
Press the INFO and ⏎ button simultaneously to enter the reset mode

Press the INFO repeatedly until TIRE LEARN? appears on the screen
Press and hold the ⏎ button until the horn sounds twice
Start from the driver side front tire, remove the valve cap, and then increasing or decreasing the tire’s air pressure until a horn chirp sounds
A horn chirp will confirm that the sensor has been reset
Repeat the process for the passenger side front tire, passenger side rear tire, and the driver side rear tire
Turn off the ignition after you reset the last tire
Adjust the tire pressure in all four tires recommended on the tire placard
