Good morning everybody! I hope you are always safe and healthy. Today I have just made another content out of the endless oil service reminder light reset for Mini Cooper Clubman R55.
I couldn’t remember the procedure myself, so I jumped online and found a couple of techniques that were all wrong. So here’s the correct procedure.
Time needed: 3 minutes
Alright, we are in the Mini Cooper Clubman R5. Basically, the buttons we need to reset the service indicator is our TRIP button on the instrument cluster, and we need the BC button on the stalk that gets us through here. So the way you reset is:
First, insert the key and hit the START button without being on a brake pedal or your car doesn’t start up but the instrument cluster and everything powers up
Then what happens next is to hold down the TRIP button which will get you into the service menu here
Next, with this BC button on the end of the stalk, you can scroll through it until we got the ENGINE OIL
After that, your hold the BC button, and it’s gonna ask you if you want to reset
Finally, press it again and hold it and it’s going to reset the oil
So that’s how you reset the service light on this car (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 model years). That will reset your oil and prepare it for the next time you need to do the oil change, and that should be that. So thanks for your time, and I’m doing things, so I’ll see you guys next time.
