Turn OFF the ignition
Make sure the vehicle is completely stopped
Press the INFO button repeatedly until the ? spanner comes up
With the ignition off you scroll through the INFO button here until you get to the spanner icon
Press and hold the INFO button
After that, press and hold that button to make the spanner flash
Release and then press the INFO button again
Next, you need to press the INFO button again and you’ll see CLEAR come up on the dash
Start your car
Start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset

After finally finding it in the vehicle manual, the ignition has to be off for this to work...not on or in acc. Hope that helps. FYI - for a 2015 Outlander service message reset.

  Mine will beep but won't say clear after the wrench is flashing. Ignition is all the way off. I tried it running, acc, and totally off. Any ideas?

    When the wrench is flashing release the info button and then hold it down again. Also ensure the engine is not running.
