How To Reset Audi A5 Oil Change Light Service Minder (2008-2017) – The Audi A5 is a middle class of the German car manufacturer Audi. The A5 was presented in 2007 on the basis of the fourth-generation Audi A4. The A5 has as main competitors the BMW 4-series and the Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupé and Cabriolet. The A5 Coupé (B8) was after a long time the first coupe in this segment after stopping the production in 1996 of the Audi Coupé based on the Audi 80.

The A5 was designed by Walter de’Silva on the basis of the Audi Nuvolari Quattro concept car. The coupé is on the new B8 MLB platform which the Audi A4 B8 also uses. The sporty Audi S5 was immediately available with the introduction of the Audi A5. It has a 4.2-liter V8 FSI engine known from the Audi A8 and the Q7. The engine has a capacity of 354 hp and the maximum torque is 440 Nm.

How To Reset Audi A5 Oil Change Light Service Minder (2008-2017)

Time needed: 7 minutes

When engine oil service is due, the Oil Change warning light will appear on the display. The service interval must be reset after performed the maintenance service or change the engine oil on your vehicle. Follow the instructions below to reset the Oil Change Light on your Audi A5:

  1. Turn ignition switch to ON position but do not start the engine

    If your vehicle has an ignition button, press the START-STOP ENGINE button without touching the brake pedal.

  2. Press the CAR button on the MMI controls to access the vehicle menu

    The button is located on the center console

  3. On some vehicle, you need to enter the “CAR SYSTEMS” menu then select “SERVICE & CHECKS”

    You can skip this step if there is no menu in your vehicle

  4. Scroll down and select “SERVICE INTERVAL”

    Use the MMI control button to enter the menu

  5. Scroll down and select RESET OIL CHANGE INTERVAL

    Use the MMI control button to enter the menu

  6. When a message appears on the display, select YES to confirm

    Done!
