How To Reset Oculus Quest Gaming Headset To Factory Settings – Oculus Quest is a virtual reality headset developed by Oculus VR, a subsidiary of Facebook. It is a standalone device with two 6-DoF controllers; a PC or a game console is not required. The headset was launched in May 2019 in a 64 GB version and a 128 GB version.
The Oculus Quest follows a similar concept to the Oculus Go but has a better graphics chip and active cooling. The headset weighs 571 g (for comparison: Oculus’ first headset, the Oculus Rift, weighed 470 g). The battery life is given as approx. 2-3 hours. The Oculus Quest uses two OLED displays, each with a resolution of 1440 × 1600 and a refresh rate of 72 Hz.

There are several reasons you need to reset your Oculus Quest to factory settings, such as when you want to sell it or when a system error. By performing this procedure you will remove all your account information, device data, your downloaded games, and your content. But it won’t remove content you’ve purchased or downloaded from your Oculus account.
- Turn off the console
Make sure the console is turned off
- Press and hold the VOLUME DOWN (-) button and POWER button at the same time
Keep holding down the volume buttons until the boot screen loads

You can reset your Oculus Quest through your mobile:
- Open the Oculus app on the phone
- Select ⚙️ SETTINGS menu

- Select FACTORY RESET and then RESET
