How To Reset Boss SY-1000 Guitar Synthesizer Pedal To Factory Settings – A few years ago, Boss released the SY-300. With this guitar synthesizer, you could produce synth sounds without an external module without having to drill into your favourite guitar. Today Boss combines these two technologies with the Boss SY-1000.
The sound modulation and guitar synthesis in one floorboard. You can produce up to three instruments simultaneously and tweak them separately on-the-go with the flexible footswitches. If you want to get the most out of this guitar synth, you have to have a Boss GK-3 pickup. Fortunately, this is now possible without completely mutilating your guitar.

There are several reasons you need to reset your Boss SY-1000 to factory settings, such as when you want to sell it or when a system error. Here’s how the settings stored in the unit can be restored to their default values.
Make sure the unit is in on position
The main menu will appear on the display, you can cycle the additional menu by using the ◄ ► navigation button
Press the 1 to 6 knobs to select the menu
On this menu, you can choose to reset the System, Patch Numbers, or Variation
Press the 6 knob to perform the factory reset.
