There are several reasons you need to reset your Boss SY-1000 to factory settings, such as when you want to sell it or when a system error. Here’s how the settings stored in the unit can be restored to their default values.

  1. Turn on the unit

    Make sure the unit is in on position

  2. Press the SYSTEM button to enter the settings menu

    The main menu will appear on the display, you can cycle the additional menu by using the ◄ ► navigation button

  3. Go to FACTORY RESET by using the ◄ ► page button

    Press the 1 to 6 knobs to select the menu

  4. Use the 1 to 6 knobs to select the type of settings to be restored to the default settings

    On this menu, you can choose to reset the System, Patch Numbers, or Variation

  5. Press the WRITE button

    Press the 6 knob to perform the factory reset.
