2009-2021 Audi A5 S5 TPMS Tire Pressure Sensor Light Reset Guide – The Audi A5 is a mid-range from the German car manufacturer Audi. The A5 was presented in 2007 based on the fourth-generation Audi A4.

2009-2017 Models

There are 2 ways to reset TPMS on the fourth generation of the Audi A5 S5. These two ways are through the infotainment display but are different in the system menu.

With Infotainment Display 1

  • Make sure you have adjusted the tire pressure recommended on the tire placard
  • Turn ON the ignition without starting the engine
  • Press the CAR button on the center console

With Infotainment Display 2

Time needed: 7 minutes

Like the previous model, you can reset the TPMS via a multimedia (MMI) display. Proceed as follows :

  1. Stop the vehicle and turn off the engine

    Make sure your vehicle is in a safe place

  2. Adjust the cold tire pressure in all four tires recommended on the tire placard on the door panel

    The cold tire is a tire that is not driven more than 3 hours

  3. Turn ignition switch to ON position but do not start the engine

    If your vehicle has an ignition button, press the START-STOP ENGINE button once without touching the brake pedal.

  4. Press the CAR button

    Press the left control button to access the menu

  6. Select SERVICE & CHECKS

    Use the MMI control button to enter the menu

  7. Scroll down and select TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING

    A message will appears on the display

  8. Select STORE TIRE PRESSURE

    A confirmation message will appears on the screen

  9. Select YES to execute the TPMS reset

2018-2021 Models

Just like the previous model, you can reset the TPMS via the infotainment display, but this latest model (2019 2020 2021) uses a touchscreen or touchpad. Here’s how to do it:

With MMI Control

  • Make sure you have adjusted the tire pressure recommended on the tire placard
  • Turn ON the ignition without starting the engine
  • Press the MENU button on the center console
  • Go to the CAR or VEHICLE menu by using the dial button
  • Find and select SERVICE & CHECKS by using the left control button

  • Select YES to execute the TPMS reset

With Touchscreen

  • Make sure you have adjusted the tire pressure recommended on the tire placard
  • Turn ignition switch to ON position but do not start the engine
  • From the Home screen, tap the VEHICLE or CAR menu on the MMI display
