|Last Updated on December 29, 2021 by Nick
Good morning everybody! I hope you enjoy your day. This post will be about an oil service warning light reset in this 2019 Kia Rio. So if your car looked like this, you’re going to be the same procedure from 2018 and up to the present.
By the way, I actually end up changing my oil about twice a year. Every six months and I get about seven thousand miles. If you exceed the specified service interval, you’ll see this service light on the display. So stay with me, and let’s get this done.

Time needed: 3 minutes
Alright, I have a 2020 Kia Rio, and we’re going to go ahead and show you how to reset the service interval. We will use this menu button and use the up and down button and the okay button to do it. So let’s try to do it.
- Turn on the ignition
If your vehicle has an ignition button, press the START-STOP button two times without stepping on any pedal
- Go to the USER SETTINGS
The way you reset this is you navigate through the settings here with the ❏ button until you reach the ⚙️ User Settings
- Scroll to SERVICE INTERVAL
Then scroll down on the steering wheel until you reach SERVICE INTERVAL and hit OK to enter
- Select RESET
Next, you just scroll down to RESET and hit OK
- Click on YES
Once you get there, you click on YES to confirm
How To Adjust The Service Interval
- If you want to adjust the service intervals you get up to ADJUST INTERVALS
- From there you’ll set the millage and we like doing them at 10,000
- After that, you’ll just save the new intervals and you’re done
So that’s it from me for today. This will apply to 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 model years. The 2012 through 2017 model is slightly different, but I’ll try to get you a link up here. So thanks for joining me today, and have a nice day.
