What Up, bro? Today, I’ll show you how to reset this maintenance oil and filter light on a Nissan Qashqai. I’m making this content of my attempt at an oil service on my Qashqai, so I don’t forget what a problem I have to do next time.

For all those do-it-yourselfers out there, I know many of you guys don’t like to have your hands handcuffed by the dealers and their excessive charges on a lot of this stuff. Maybe oil change isn’t that expensive to do at the dealer, but you know there’s always the extra cost. I see a lot of you guys like to get your hands dirty a little bit. So let’s hop over to it.

Nissan Qashqai Maintenance Oil And Filter Light Reset Guide

For your info, this operation work for the second generation of the Nissan Qashqai (2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 model years).

2014-2016 Nissan Qashqai

Time needed: 3 minutes

Alright, we’ve got a 2015 Nissan Qashqai, and I’m going to show you how to reset the service lights. We will do this with the left-hand side controls here, and you do it from the dashboard. So all you want to do is:

Turn on the ignition without starting the engine,
Without pressing the clutch should or break you’re gonna press the START button just to turn on the ignition
Get to the SETTINGS menu
Then we’re gonna cycle down by using the ▼ button till we get the SETTINGS and press ENTER
Find the MAINTENANCE
Next, we’re gonna scroll down to MAINTENANCE and select it
Select the SERVICE or OIL & FILTER
Get the focus there and then we’re gonna press the ENTER button on the SERVICE or OIL
Press the ENTER button
Press the ENTER button again and it’s gonna ask you if you want to reset
Select YES
After that, you just press the arrow up to highlight YES and press ENTER again

2017-2021 Nissan Qashqai

Get in the car and turn it on
Then use the keypad on the left side of the steering. Just scroll left and right and go on to SETTINGS

Once you get on to Settings, press OK to get in
After that, you want to scroll down and select the MAINTENANCE From there, you click ok on SERVICE or OIL & FILTER
Next, press the OK button again and it will ask you to reset
Now select YES to perform the service interval reset
