2016-2019 Kia Sorento
Time needed: 3 minutes
Here we have a 2017 Kia Sorento, and I’m going to show you how to reset the service reminder. So I’ll show you how I do that.
- Turn the ignition key to the “ON” position without starting the engine
First, we’re just gonna get to the vehicle to the on or running position to do the reset
- Go to the 🔧 Wrench tab
When turning the vehicle on, it will perform its system check and once that’s completed you’ll usually have the service required come right up. If it does not or if you are on a different screen then we’ll use the ❏ button to scroll through until you get to the 🔧 Wrench
- Scroll to SERVICE INTERVAL
Once you’re over top of the 🔧 wrench you should have the Service Required right up on the screen, but if not you may have to scroll up or down to get to it
- Hold down the OK button
After getting it to that screen you just push in this rolling key and as you hold OK your service reset is performed
How To Adjust The Service Interval
- For some reason is not at the service mileage interval you want it to be at, you can press the ❏ button again to get to the ⚙️ USER SETTINGS menu screen
- Now you bring it down until you go to the SERVICE INTERVAL
- At this point, you can set the mileage for another thousand or months for whatever you want to put it
2020-2022 Kia Sorento
- Turn on the car and wait for the system to load up
- Then press the SETUP button on the center display to get the menu pop up
- Next, you want to find the VEHICLE and tap on the screen
- After that, you wanna scroll down and select the CLUSTER
- In this menu, get in the SERVICE INTERVAL where you can change your interval
- At this point, you can set the distance or the duration and also you can tap on RESET and that’s it you’re good for another some miles
So that’s how you reset or change the values on your service interval counter or timer on the Kia Sorento. Please post any questions or remarks in the comments section below if you have any questions or remarks. Please accept our sincere gratitude for your time.
